Do I need a GP's referral to visit?
In short? No. We are a private clinic which means that we offer priority services to our clients with minimized waiting times for best results. Our clinicians have experience in complex triage and will let you know if another path should be taken instead of physiotherapy or conservative approaches.
Is there a recipe to help with my condition?
We strongly support a logical, educated and honest approach to solving problems. While looking up our symptoms can give us a rough understanding of the problem, diagnostics and treatment cannot be done through Googling. There are many different reasons that can cause pain, allow a skilled Physio to identify and treat it!
I have had previous physiotherapy treatment without success, what now?
Physiotherapy market can sometimes be overwhelming, and different medical professionals provide very different approaches. Our assessment model and treatment programmes are tailored for you, which means that we will create an individual plan for you on our initial assessment. While some chronic conditions can be expected to have flare ups, we will provide you with the tools you need to stay in control and independent in management as long as possible.
Is it normal if my joints make noise?
We thought you would never ask! Yes, noises made by your joints (unless in certain exceptions) are about as normal as hearing your tummy rumble. Normally it could be accounted for any number of reasons that you should not be concerned about.
However, if noise is accompanied by pain or you simply are not sure – its time to seek help.
What is Physiotherapy and can it help me?
Physiotherapy is a branch of medicine that can help you with different conditions and injuries. At Physiobase, we are extensively trained in musculoskeletal (MSK) diagnostics and treatment – this includes all your joint, ligament, muscle and connective tissue pains and aches. We are also highly specialised in Neurophysiotherapy and rehabilitation. This includes injuries and illnesses of the central nervous system (inborn deficits and injuries, strokes,…). We can also refer you onwards for further diagnostics and specialist opinions if our evaluation suggest that is the best next step forward. Give us a call if you would like to learn more!
